Valentine's Day Outfits

I'm kinda salty V-Day is on a Wednesday, but that's not going to stop any plans. If you're like me and can never decide what to wear, I saved you some trouble and picked some outfits that can work for any occasion from a night out with your boo, or maybe with your girls, or just an outfit for school or work or whatever you're doing that day.

If you're going out on a date for Valentine's Day then you should def wear a dress cause why not! I find it a good excuse to be able to put on a dress and get dolled up a little bit.

1. mauve swing dress (on sale so not many sizes left)
2. red off shoulder dress (also in grey)
3.  nude long sleeve dress (also in black & white)

Here are some more adorable outfits. These are from frock candy. (insta: @frockcandy)
These could be worn to work or school for a casual look. OR maybe if you're having a Galentine's at your girls house or if you maybe do something with family, these would be cute options.

This one is my favorite! I'm obsessed with that top.

I'm also obsessed with these dresses and romper from frock candy! They have some great Valentine's Day outfits to choose from, y'all should definitely go pick something up to wear out with ya boo thang.

Here are just a few other ideas of some outfits you can throw together.

If you don't like dresses or are maybe not going to a restaurant that's not worthy (I guess you could say) of a dress then maybe one of these could be an option. A pink, red, white, or black top could all work. If you're doing a black or white shirt, dress, whatever then just add a little color to it with jewelry or shoes that are pink or red. There are endless options! Hope some of these help out with picking the perfect outfit for V-Day(:

Mardi Gras Madness

Mardi Gras is just around the corner guys... even though there has been so many parades already. So maybe I should rephrase that... Fat Tuesday is just around the corner! Mardi Gras is one of the best seasons in Louisiana. There is just so much culture involved. And I love seeing all the pretty masks and costumes from all the different parades and balls.

Today I've gathered up some cute outfits that you can wear to a parade or maybe to a Mardi Gras party at a friend's house or whatever your plans are for Mardi Gras.

These are a few ideas for some casual cute and comfy outfits. All these outfits are from Frock Candy (insta: @frockcandy). Like I said these are ideas. If you have something in your closet similar, girl wear it! I just love to find inspiration and then that helps me think of an outfit I can put together.

If you like to get more into a Mardi Gras spirit then maybe you can make or buy something like these below. I love costumes like this (usually for a musical festival).

And if you're going to Spanish Town then you might want to wear something pink!(;

If you haven't seen my last post (king cake calories don't count) then you should def check it out because there is a lot of yummy information!

King Cake Calories Don't Count

Hey y'all! So since it's Mardi Gras season there is like king cake flavored everything, which I'm not complaining about. I love king cake! (which is why I have to stay working out hahah) If you've never had king cake well then you're definitely missing out on something amazing, unless you don't like cinnamon then that's just really sad because you're really missing out.(;

Okay so like I said there is literally king cake flavored everything. Here are some things y'all should definitely try out:

1. A king cake from Rouses Market or Oak Point. I know there are some other places with really good king cakes, but these are the two I can remember the name of haha. Filled with a glaze or not, these are delicious king cakes!

2. If you don't like cinnamon rolls, but you like donuts then you should try a king cake from Mickey's Donuts. This is obviously not a traditional king cake, but still really yummy!

3. King cake cheesecake from Cheesecake Bistro! Y'all... two of my favorite desserts in one. Like there is nothing better, it's a must try hands down!

Like how amazing does that look!

4. Nom-Nom's (a frozen yogurt place) has king cake flavored fro-yo (also another one of my favorite desserts) and it is sooo yummy!

5. Bread pudding king cake from Bistro Byronz. I honestly didn't know it was bread pudding when I first tried it, but it is some kinda good!

6. King Cake Shake from Fat Cow. They look good and taste good!

These are some of my favorite king cake desserts I have tried. Let me know in the comments of anything else y'all have tried, I would love to try it out!

More Winter

So yesterday was groundhog day and the little guy saw his shadow so that means six more weeks of winter. Exactly what I want... no. I mean don't get me wrong I love the cute sweaters and what not I get to wear but I am tired of my skin being dry (even when I moisturize.) The winter winds can be pretty harsh.

Since we (apparently) have a few more weeks of winter, I thought I would share some outfits I like to wear to school. I like to be comfortable yet still kinda cute.

When it's around 50 degrees or lower I like to wear leggings and a t-shirt (usually long sleeve) or a sweatshirt. Usually with nike shoes, or vans, maybe some furry boots depending on my top.

When it's not as cold, usually 65 degrees or something, I'll wear some nike shorts and a long sleeve.
Now when it's warmer out I wear something more like this. It can get pretty hot here in LA, which is not always fun, so shorts and short sleeves are a must!

Even though I'm ready for warmer weather I am not ready for it to be like 90 something degrees because I'm not trying to start sweating the second I walk outside. There is like no in between sometimes for LA weather and it's rather annoying.

Well I better go do more school work...  even though The Great Gatsby is on!

A Little Update

Hey guys! So I know I've been slacking on posting stuff, but school started to pick up and I have been having to do so much stuff. I still have so much stuff to do. I have several homeworks and quizzes to do, and also three tests next week. So yayy...

But I am excited because:

1. my mom got me Chinese chicken and a Cane's lemonade

These are like two of my favorite things. Also you know the pill off things on the side of the cups? Okay well I got one for a free drink and I'm excited because I get another lemonade(:

2. I got an A on my first calculus II exam this semester and I am like sooo happy! My teacher (I call him this because he's a grad student) is much better than the one I had last semester. I love math but last semester I hated it. Glad I'm getting back into it.. even though calculus just sucks in general.

Well I better get back to school work, even though Fifty Shades of Grey just came on E! and I like have to watch it because I'm going see the third one this next Friday and I'm sooo pumped! Been waiting since last February when the second came out(;
